You can use one of the three GPS coordinates formats: - Degrees and decimals of degrees (DD). Example: 33.641389° S - 78.841111° W
- Degrees, minutes and decimals of minues (DM). Example: 33° 38.48334' S - 78° 50.46666' W
- or Degrees, minutes and seconds (DMS). Example: 33° 38' 29'' S - 78° 50' 28'' S
Take care of what format you are using! For example, if your format is using DM, do NOT use the seconds fields... If you retreive a GPS coordinates from Google Maps / Google Earth, make sure to set the datum to WGS84. |
